GO Annotation Analysis Service

Online Inquiry

CD Genomics is able to provide stronger support for the rapid development of biology by improving GO annotation analysis services to obtain higher precision GO annotations.

Introduction of GO Annotation Analysis Service

The Gene ontology database is a structured standard biological model covering three aspects: cellular components, molecular functions, and biological processes, and is one of the most widely used genes annotation systems. The GO annotation system is a directed acyclic graph containing three branches, where each node in the annotation system is a description of a gene or protein, and the nodes maintain a strict "parent-child" relationship. Thus, a gene or protein can be annotated from three levels.

Applications

GO annotation analysis service can be used for but is not limited to the following research:

  • Used for genome analysis.
  • Used for gene expression analysis. Introducing GO annotations to microarray data, for example, can often reveal why a specific group of genes possesses similar expression patterns.
  • For integrating proteomic information from different organisms.
  • For determining the function of protein structural domains.
  • For predicting key genes associated with the disease.
  • For finding functional similarities in genes that are aberrantly expressed in disease or aging.
  • For analyzing genes that are expressed simultaneously in development.

Deliverables

  • GO function annotated bar chart.
  • GO secondary classification statistical chart.
  • GO horizontal classification statistical chart.
  • TopGO molecular function directed acyclic graph of differentially expressed proteins.
  • Pie charts of protein distribution at the molecular function, biological pathway, and cellular component levels.

GO Annotation Analysis Content

  • We are able to provide protein GO functional annotation analysis based on protein module, family, and structural domain searches for unique, non-redundant descriptions of protein clusters, structural domains, and functional sites.
  • We are able to clarify the relationship between gene products and the GO terms used to define them through GO annotation. Since a gene may encode multiple gene products with different properties, the GO database is primarily annotated for gene products.

We are able to use GO annotation analysis services to help our customers achieve high throughput data analysis in multi-omics. For questions about analysis content, project cycle, and pricing, please click online inquiry.
